Frequently Asked Questions
What is an image splitter?
An image splitter divides a single image into multiple equal-sized pieces arranged in a grid. This is commonly used to create Instagram grid posts where multiple images form one large picture when viewed on a profile.
What grid sizes are available?
PicKit supports 2x2 (4 pieces), 3x3 (9 pieces), and 4x4 (16 pieces) grid layouts. You can also set custom rows and columns for more flexibility.
How do I create an Instagram grid post?
Upload a square image, select 3x3 grid, and split. Download all 9 pieces and upload them to Instagram in reverse order (bottom-right first, top-left last) so they appear correctly on your profile grid.
Will splitting reduce image quality?
No quality is lost during splitting. Each grid piece retains the same resolution and quality as the corresponding region of the original image.
Can I split non-square images?
Yes. PicKit can split images of any aspect ratio. The grid pieces will be equal in size based on the number of rows and columns you select.
