What is the difference between blur and pixelation?
Blurring creates a smooth, out-of-focus effect by averaging pixel colors. Pixelation creates a blocky, mosaic effect by replacing areas with large colored squares. Both hide details, but pixelation is more recognizable as intentional censorship.
Is blurred information recoverable?
With sufficient blur intensity, the original information cannot be recovered from the blurred image. For maximum privacy, use a high blur intensity or combine blurring with pixelation.
